Questions, answered straight
What is provider credentialing?
Credentialing is the process of verifying a provider's education, licensure, training, and background so payers and facilities can confirm they're qualified to deliver care. Enrollment is the separate step of formally contracting with a payer so claims can be billed in-network.
How long does payer enrollment usually take?
Commercial payer enrollment typically takes 90 to 120 days industry-wide. Credzonic reduces avoidable delays by submitting error-free applications and following up proactively, though final approval timing is ultimately set by each payer.
Do you work with behavioral health providers?
Yes. We credential and enroll therapists, counselors, social workers, psychiatrists, and ABA providers, including separate behavioral health carve-out enrollments with networks like Optum Behavioral Health and Carelon.
What's the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 providers?
A Type 1 NPI belongs to an individual provider. A Type 2 NPI belongs to an organization, such as a group practice or clinic. We handle enrollment for both, including transitions from group to solo practice.
Do you serve providers outside your home state?
Yes, we work with medical and behavioral health providers and practices across all 50 states, including multi-state licensing and enrollment for practices expanding into new locations.
What's included in the free audit?
We review your current CAQH profile, NPI records, and payer enrollment status to identify what's missing, outdated, or likely to cause a delay or rejection — with no cost or obligation.
